I'm going to be an aunt.... AGAIN!

I am.... well.... I am speechless! But happy for Melinda & John. Holy cow!

Now all it would take is a similar announcement from Becki & Rich, then I think I'd drop dead from complete and utter shock. This is not to say that I didn't know that either of them were/were not trying. It's still....

Wow.

More prayer, please!

This is going to sound desperate, but that's because it is. We are going to meet with a guy from Rock Financial to try to get our home equity loan. This is something we need very badly in order to survive two house payments until the old house sells....

So, please, if you would pray for this to go through, I'd be ecstatic. I suppose it's not really life and death, but if there's a problem with it, then I really won't have a very easy road ahead of me for a while. And, as most of you can probably guess, I'm pretty much tired of the drama.

Will let you know how I do.

Not related, but.... I'm trying to find a devotional site online (my devotionals are boxed away somewhere--not very responsible of me, I know), which would honestly be pretty convenient for me. I did a quick search the other day, but didn't find anything worth much.

And on another completely unrelated note, as I type this, one of the kittens is going crazy in the drawer of my computer desk (RIGHT beside me, mind you). Apparently, that is where I've thrown an entire bag of catnip from our old kitty supplies. Heh.

Oh, and because I'm too lazy to call you right now... How'd you guys (John & Melinda) get set up to get garbage pick-up?

And, Melinda, our last appraisal for the new house, did we pay you for it? Is it possible to get a copy, or does that belong to someone else? The Rock Financial guy was wondering.

I think that's it! =)

This just in:

Still tired!

I've officially been on my medicine for 24 hours, and I'm still dragging along my merry way. Those of you who are my neighbors may have noticed a parade of Adidas warm-ups and fleece hoodies, a sure sign I'm either 1) Not feeling well, 2) Can't find anything else to wear, or 3) Just done exercising. Since I wouldn't put money on #3--not at this point in the move-in process, at least--you can be assured it means one of the other two. I'm sporting the frumpiness, but I don't care so much. I have apparently not found the boxes that contain my coolness. Heh.

I love my grandparents. I stopped by to drop off my tithe check (a day late, a dollar short--the deposit's already been done) and ended up staying for dinner. Before dinner came, though, Grandpa offered me a Hershey bar. Not one to refuse a bar of chocolate (perish the thought!), I took a bite. Through a mouthful of sweet goodness, I asked, "How old is this?" I was joking.... Well, I was sort of joking. Perhaps I can take you back to another place.... Well, another time, anyway... Where we were partaking in some rather fuzzy ice cream? Date of expiration long past and long ignored. Need I say more? Grandpa stares at me as if I've slapped him across the face, while semi-smiling through his own mouthful of chocolate. He does the math. "Well, these were supposed to be for Y2K. They've been hermetically sealed in a plastic container." I laugh, although I'm mentally spitting chocolate out into the nearest trash receptacle. Actually, I figure it would've tasted worse--all dried out and what not--but it really tasted just about normal. It really teaches me to trust my better judgement. =)

I have been wanting to share this link for the last few days, but I keep forgetting. I ran across it when checking out the "Tea For One" blog that Mandy had linked to in her site. Pretty funny stuff. I very much enjoyed the talk about the actors who have dyed their hair blonde for a part.
