School's back in for summa!!

That was a stretch for a title, but, c'mon, give a lady a break!

Logan started school yesterday--FINALLY--and this meant I had from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to myself.... unless you count Hunter and the puppies.

So what did I do with my first day of *somewhat* freedom? I messed around on the computer, as usual, then I finally got up the nerve to start sewing the pajama pants I cut out Sunday afternoon. They're cute, really. Green frog print, just for Billy. Well, maybe. If they're cute enough, you know I'll steal them from time to time. I just made his first because the material I bought for mine cost about double the amount as his, so I wanted to ruin the cheaper stuff if I didn't get it the first time around. ;)

It turns out that was a veeeeery wise thing for me to do. I got both pant legs sewn together before I noticed that I had sewn the fronts and the backs together. I went to sew the inner seams (i.e., the crotch) and couldn't figure out what the problem was.

Someday I WILL get this right the FIRST time. Instead, it took me about three hours to rip the seams out.... which was okay, since Billy wasn't home from work and the kids were sleeping. I just turned out Law & Order and went into a seam-ripping coma.

I will try again in just a little while. I have the proper legs pinned together, so hopefully things will go my way this time.

I really DO read directions. Sewing patterns are sort of a whole new ballgame, though. I suppose I needed to know how to rip out seams anyway. Ha.

Tonight we go for a tour of the Alternative Birthing Center. I am overjoyed with excitement and rapture. Not really, but my midwife requires the tour. Hehehe.
