Today has been an out-of-control day for me, and not for really reasons I recognize. I guess you could say it started last night. I got VERY tired and passed out on the couch at around 9 p.m. Shortly after, the dogs started barking at nothing in particular. This sent me into a little rage because I couldn't see what they were barking at (it happens all the time. They bark at anyone who drives down the street), and I had also been sound asleep on the couch. After slamming the door to my bedroom, I fell asleep.
I woke up this morning to find out Logan has school despite the newest Winter Death Storm (what are we up to now? Gargamel? Or are we past the G's?). However, they have decided to do a two-hour delay, which means that instead of Billy taking Logan to school, I get to pack up Hunter and go instead. Lovely. I do, and I even get time to shop for some groceries and Valentine's gifts and cards for my family. When I return home, I notice something awry.
Maybe some of you have seen my house. Most probably haven't. Anyways, we have a wrap-around porch with really not much on it except a deformed but lovely frog in a bikini (waiting for Becki & Rich to move in), a kid's park bench, and a clear Rubbermaid-type bin containing a big wreath Billy's mom made us that we've just not hung up yet. When I drove up to my house this afternoon, I noticed the wreath had done a faceplant in the mud and the plastic bin was nowhere to be found. Not that we were overly attached to the plastic bin, but if someone did take it, that's sort of scary. I mean, it was right outside my bedroom window.... and I'm pretty much always home. Did it happen during one of those times I was yelling at the dogs to shut up? I don't know... I don't honestly remember the last time I took notice of the bin or the wreath, so I don't know when this would have happened. I have made it my new resolution to keep my doors locked and garage closed from here on out. This time it was a bin, next time it could've been a bike or something a little more meaningful.
Which brings me to my next stop on this crazy rollercoaster called my brain.... When I lived with my mom & step-dad, I used to notice that the poles on my horse jumps would get moved. For instance, I'd have a jump set up, and the next day it wouldn't be set up and the poles would be moved several yards away. I kept mentioning this to Gordy (my step-dad), and he told me more than once that I was imagining it. Who are these people, who jump their horses in the dark and other dastardly deeds?! Who steal old plastic bins off people's porches because, well, because they can?
The rest of the afternoon is fairly uneventful.... and then Billy and Logan come home.
I have finally figured out what it is. Billy and Logan bicker all the time, and if I let my guard down (I was reading a book while Billy played his video game) something bad happens like Izzy pooping right in front of Billy's face. Then there's more drama, more tension, and I get wound so tight I feel like I've got to go somewhere, anywhere, to escape everyone. But I don't dare go see my horses at night anymore, 'cuz now there's evil plastic bin snatchers lurking in the shadows.
This isn't really how I was hoping Valentine's would be. I did get a card from Logan and Billy, which are two more cards than I usually average. ;) But who's counting, right?!
In regards to T-tapp, today was an off day, so I did the primary back stretch, then something called "Torso Trimmers". It's really a series of moves jumbled up together really just to make your body spontaneously burst into flames (when done right, although I'm not quite at that point yet!). I'll try it again tomorrow, along with the Total workout, which is always a whole lot of not fun.... I do feel good when I'm done with it, though.
