Despite my feeble attempts to secure a sitter from amongst the MacLachlan/Thompson household (WHY IS EVERYONE SICK???? Insanity!), I ended up going to the barn and finding my farrier already done with Moe and ready for victim #2. I did stay with him for the last two horses--but I was very happy he'd gone ahead and started without me.
It doesn't fix the root of this problem, which is the same problem I've had with Billy for months. We could have this discussion till we're blue in the face, but it doesn't change his opinion or mine. His focus is doing his job at all costs until he doesn't feel well. If I don't feel well, there isn't much he can do anyway. I feel like I sound so childish and selfish, but I also feel like I've been sacrificing all year. Whenever Billy wasn't working, he had to be doing things at the new house. Now that we're here, the projects are still here and the weekends are still packed. And I'm not going to get started on this again because it only throws me into a downward spiral that I don't feel like going on today.
At least I got the horses trimmed up, though. I just need to work out, then my list will be complete beyond my everyday chores.
If I had the power to make people saints, I'd make all of you saints for reading all this shmutz. It's must be like watching a train wreck--so horrible, but yet you can't look away. =P
....and then there were 5.
