Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was on my feet from 7 a.m. to about 11 p.m. last night. I got Logan ready for school, drove him there, picked him up two hours later, cooked dinner, cleaned the litter box, fed the dogs, fed the horses, did laundry.... I even put out my garbage (which I am convinced is a day late because everyone else's is gone) and walked down to feed the horses in the dark. I can't remember when my dearest husband went to sleep, but I assure you it was before 9 p.m.
I am angry this morning because he left his phone in with me while he took his shower, and he got five calls, one right after another.... Three of which resulted in voicemail (and very annoying, persistant voicemail rings). I guess it's a good thing I was awake! Grrr!
What has me a little on edge, also, is that I am trying to meet up with the blacksmith in half an hour, and that's physically impossible to do with two kids. I rescheduled the appointment early with the thought that Billy could help me out for a little bit, and I even discussed this with him, but he's gone already and destined for a late night.
I guess this is how I feel: When he doesn't feel well, everything is abandoned. I was TIRED last night, but I had no choice but to do those things. And now that he feels better, things that I need to get done or how I'm feeling are insignificant. It's the ugly world of a guy with a job, I know. But it can be a helpless feeling to know that even if I don't feel well, I have no choice... There is no one there to take care of me.
Haven't we all been there? I think most of you will say yes, at some point in your life. It just ticks me off right now, and I am happy that I get to share the love with all of you.

Not entirely related, but I did get to talk to Beth last night for the first time in over a month. Please pray for her and her family--they're having a rough time right now. And for anyone keeping track of her baby count, YES, she is pregnant with #5 (no twins this time). She seems to be doing well with her pregnancy, but they're having big financial trouble (to that, I say JOIN THE CLUB). It always makes me feel better to talk to her, even if it's not-so-great news. At least their trouble was limited to money, and everyone is healthy.
....and then there were 5.

Jen, I feel, feel, feel your pain!!! Been there and done that countless times. The only problem is that I had a full time job, too!! Why is it that men don't stop and think that if it wasn't for us they would be doing it all alone......EVEN IF THEY HAD A JOB!! I think the most eye opening experience for me was when I became single again at 42 yrs old and started dating again. I found out that men not only worked but cleaned house, cooked and took care of their kids!
Guys just need to realize that it's 50/50 and to start putting in their fair share!!
Oh, my.....sorry, I will now step down from my soapbox and go back to work.
Kathie--
Thanks for your post. I know I really do get stuck on tangents--and unfortunately it's at the expense of the stupid things that bug me about my husband. I'm sure if he cared to read my blog, he'd probably be equally as ticked off at me as I am at him some days.
I've seen what Billy's house looks like when there's no one picking up. When I dated Billy, he was living at home with his Dad and sister. No one really cleaned much of anything more often than absolutely necessary. I still see traces of this, and don't think it doesn't grate on me. I won't admit to being the cleanest person out there, but I don't like it when I've worked hard to straighten up and it gets destroyed within 20 minutes of my family coming home.
Calgon, take me away!!!!! Hehehe.
