Thank goodness, my t.v. is okay. One of the puppies just pulled a wire out of place or something.
We went to Billy's mom's birthday party this afternoon, which was hosted at my sister-in-law's new house. It's a very nice house, but that's not my point in mentioning it. My sister-in-law, Stacey, is dog-sitting for her in-laws. The dog is a Shih Tzu puppy, a year old or less. The thing was FAT, and liked to bite. It made me thank my lucky stars I had the foresight to clicker-train Izzy "No bite!" She was pretty bad, as far as the ankle-biting goes, but luckily she is very aware of her teeth now. If I had only trained her not to hip-check me when she's playing fetch...
The "For Sale By Owner" sign went up today. It just makes me anxious to get all the junk done we abandoned a couple months ago. In other words, Billy will be very busy tomorrow. Heh.
Oh! More good news! We finally picked up the Honda car (which has been all but abandoned at Billy's office for the past couple of months), which I got to drive home after the jump-start. I am going to be driving it a little bit more to save on gas (gotta love those Honda cars!). I am jubilant at the thought of not having to agonize on what parking spot to choose, seeing how my Accord doesn't have a 100-foot turning radius. Yahoo!
Better yet, there's a Law & Order marathon on USA. Mom called to tell me there's show-jumping on CBC, but I'm not privileged enough to get Canadian t.v. So, Law & Order it is. Ahhhhhh, life is good.
....and then there were 5.

Show jumping???? Wow!! Wish I had known that.........not sure if we get a CBC broadcast here in the south but will have to start checking our cable listings. I have decided to start attending some of the NCHJA association shows here as I have been going through withdrawal since I moved. It used to be a very big part of my weekends when my neice, Colleen, was showing.
Gotta love those small cars, Jen!! I used to be able to park my Jetta just about anywhere.
Love your blog and read it daily!!
Kathie--
Do you have TiVo? If so, I suggest making a Wish List for shows with "equestrian" or "horse" in the title. Equestrian seems to find me quite a bit of show-jumping on USA and one other channel (the name escapes me right now). If you were fortunate enough to catch the Olympic coverage (starting at 5 a.m.!) of the equestrian events, Bravo & CNBC did a great job this olympiad.
I am baffled that I don't have CBC here. I love Canadian t.v. Almost as much as I like British t.v.
If you're up next summer (which I'm sure you will be, sooner or later), we should go to a show. My friend boards at a place that has a show practically every weekend. I try to get out there a couple times a summer. Maybe next summer I can even show, too--who knows?!
Anyway, thanks for stopping by! =)
I hesitate to make this comment because of the ridicule I may receive, but like I said yesterday at lunch, I am real and in your face. Ok, the comment. I thought that "Show Jumping" was some kind of show that 2 guys get a remote control and constantly switch channels. There is a time limit and the person who finds the most shows on a predetermined list in the alloted time, wins. When my mom of all people clued me in as to what it was, the light in my head went on. Ok, no comments about the lights in my head.
Okay, so basically I'm NOT allowed to make fun of you??? =)
It's okay. I don't really expect that anyone not into horses would know what in the world show-jumping is. And I'm pretty sure you have no clue what dressage is, either.
So, today I will be nice. And that is taking a lot of self-control right now. Heh.
