I was informed that I did not at all resemble Venus Williams at our tennis "match" yesterday. That was, well... because I was taking it easy on Melinda. Heh. The people at the rummage sale right next to the tennis courts sure got entertained, though!!
I'm pretty tired tonight, and depressed thinking of all the typing I have to do for the doctor. So I guess I'll write more later.
....and then there were 5.

Wow! I didn't realize that having a baby and building a house had so much in common. I am not that good at tennis but I did play Texas Holdem yesterday at the "Baby Pamper Party".
All change is stressful I know but why do some folks like to pile it on when you are down? Like some of my relatives and apparently your builder complaining about you over budget?
I know the whole "turn the other cheek" thing but sometimes I want to keep spinning and deliver a round-house kick to the chops!
Good luck on the house. I will continue to see how you hold up.

Say thank you to my brother that I am reading your blog, Jen. Good lord, woman! You are funny! Not funny in a pathetic way or like I am laughing at the stress level. But funny as in a Bridget Jones kinda way. By the way- Logan has completely validated my suspicions as a teacher when my students mysteriously get sick when they were COMPLETELY fine ten minutes earlier in the day..... Keep smiling, m'dear. You're not crazy. It could be worse....I dubbed my brother the "House Nazi" when he and Mel were in the still-building it stage. Be thankful you aren't there! :)
Hi Chris! Thanks for visiting!
Okay, so I have no clue what Texas Holdem is. But if it's some sort of card game, then that pretty much explains it. I am poker-challenged. My husband watches the Poker Tournament and I take a nap. But if I actually PLAYED my husband in poker, I'd kick butt--just because I always seem to beat him at games he takes too seriously. And because I'm very good at ticking him off.
Building a house is stressful, yep. But I really think it seems so stressful because so much is happening. I just had a baby six months ago, and that has wreaked havoc on my sanity. So right now I am a drama queen. I am going to milk it for all its worth. =)
I'm looking forward to checking back on your site and hearing about Luke's arrival! God bless!
Mandy! Thanks for stopping by. I visit your blog, too, thanks to your brother.
I am glad I could confirm your suspicions about the purging children. I am equally thrilled that I am caretaker to one of these kids. I am praying its just a phase, cuz it's truly annoying!
We're really not sure that John's over the House Nazi thing, but it's okay... I'm sure we'll be there soon. I am just so sick of picking stuff out and having no idea of how much it costs. But I am SO looking forward to the day when we will have dog butt-prints on the new white walls of our new house! Hehehe.
