I can't put my finger on it, but I do feel like this is one of those days I'd rather stay in bed and ignore the rest of the world. I think it's because I'm doing the waiting game for our Rock Financial thing to come to fruition, and all they can give me is tentative times. We were supposed to, originally, be closed by the 15th because I have major appliance BILLS DUE soon thereafter. I can't stand waiting, and I feel like it's crazy that it takes this long to get a loan through. What are the underwriters doing?! Because I'm stressing out.... PASS THE BREADSTICKS AND CHEESE DIP.
On a far happier note, one of my best friends came over with her parents (my surrogate parents) to see the house. Alicia (my friend) hadn't seen it since we had walls up, I think.... It's too hard to remember..... Anyway, they walked around, then Alicia (who just moved into a new house I've not seen yet) says I'll have to come over to help them paint their NURSERY. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa???? I think they got the kind of reaction they were hoping to see out of me. Dave & Alicia have been very skeptical about the whole pregnancy thing, and anytime anyone asks the dreaded question, "So, when are YOU going to have kids?" they just shrug it off. In short, I was like, "No way. NO way. NO WAY!!!!" Really. She thinks she is due towards the end of July, which is, I think, right around the time everyone else is due (if my calculations are correct). Wow. I'm still shocked.
Also, Alicia's parents brought over a rocking horse that her dad had made for Hunter. It's adorable! Hunter, of course, has no clue what it is, but it is very cute. I imagine when the time comes for him to be able to sit on it (and fall off of it), he'll be pretty darn excited it's there.
I need to finish my Christmas shopping reeeeeeeally bad, but it all goes back to my first paragraph. C'mon, Rock Financial. Help me out.
....and then there were 5.

I think that they actually paid a late fee for us. You should make sure that they know they WILL pay any late fees.
Yeeeeeeeeeeah, I don't know if that would happen. Our late fees are like $3000 (it was a 90-days-same-as-cash deal... and basically the only way we were going to be able to buy appliances). I can't see them forking that over. That's not due until the 29th, so hopefully we get moving.
