We're out of Pampers again!!

Take a gander at this: Baby Queen. Pretty funny, if I do say so myself. Always a sinking feeling when the diapers have disappeared.

A question for the people who use sewing machines, too. I started to type "sewers," but that didn't look right... if you know what I mean. Anyway, moving on... I'd like to get a sewing machine someday, but don't know what I'm looking for. Sears had one on sale in their ad this weekend for $89 (a Kenmore). This is inexpensive, but I'd like something inexpensive that is also versatile. I need a machine so I can do some mending that is really more extensive than my needle/thread experience (which is pretty poor, I'll add. I can sew on a button, but I have no idea how I learned to do this!). Someday I wouldn't mind dabbling in quilting or maybe even making some simpler items. Anyone have any recommendations for me? What do I absolutely need and what is just nice to have. What can I live without, and what should I avoid? HELP!! I'm afraid to go into a store (especially a strictly sewing store not of the size of Joann's, etc.) because I'm afraid that these people will steer me to more machine than I need/can afford. I am drooling over the computerized sewing/embroidery machines, but at $599 that's pretty much out of my price range by a skootch. And I figure the desk would be more expensive than anything else. The cheapest one advertised at Sears was like $250. Gah!! This is not an immediate thing I want to purchase, but I do want to start looking for sometime in the future when money is more available.

Logan had a snow day today, so I have been up since approximately 6 a.m., when I woke up to check the school closings. I got my T-tapp workout done by like 8:30, which was good. Now I don't have to coordinate it around what the kids are doing for the rest of the day. I did "Basic Workout Plus" (a.k.a. BWO+), and by the last move the tops of my thighs were on fire. It's only an approximately 15-minute long program (the first half of the total workout), for crying out loud!!! I've never had that intense of a feeling, it was strange. I just knew that I wouldn't make it through the second half of the workout.... not without crying and screaming, at least. I decided to do a floor workout--the one I did is called the Weighted Shoe Workout (WSWO). I don't have weighted shoes, but most of the moves are just fine for someone like me who has never done a T-tapp floor workout before. I didn't sweat much, but I also know I was too weak (because structurally I don't have those kinds of muscles yet, not just because I was feeling wiped out) to get full benefit. I finished up with the Torso Trimmers. I am, honestly, ready for a nap--and I'll probably take one as soon as Hunter goes to sleep and I take the dogs out.

Billy is meeting with our builder today at 1 p.m. to (finally!) discuss our final numbers. Yes, it irks me that we've been in the house for three months and we don't have final numbers. It also irks me that there's still a hole in the drywall in the dining room because, well, because no one's come back to fix it. I'm not all fired up today, though. I am a little upset that Billy failed to mention to me that he had scheduled the meeting until last night at about 10 p.m. He apparently was not planning on me coming!! So the best I can do is convey my outrage to Billy and hope he lets the builder have it. I know this will fail miserably, but those are the cards I've been dealt today. Oh well!

I have jury duty tomorrow--OH JOY! This is the first time I've been called, and I am not looking forward to it.
