Dr. Phil has Postpartum Depression!

It's true!

Okay, well, only sort of true. It was the topic of his show today. Not that I watch Dr. Phil, ever, as I find him mostly annoying; however, I think I intend to get me a copy of the show if I continue with my own personal bout. I can't remember seeing a talk show where anyone has so openly discussed postpartum depression, as well as postpartum psychosis.... It made me feel better to watch the show, and I could sympathize with a lot of what the other mothers were saying (except for those who feared they would harm their kids, I've not had any of those feelings, thank goodness). I wonder why it is so taboo if it is so common? So, Dr. Phil, you get a big thumbs up from me on airing this show, even though I didn't hear what advice you had to give the women and their families. It was just timely for me.

Now, to a topic NOT ABOUT DR. PHIL: Carpet. Please, before you surf away into the sunset, just bear with me.

Our carpet was installed today, with the exception of Logan's room. While the rest of the house is kind of a cream-colored shag, he picked a mossy green color so he could feel like he got to "decorate" his room somewhat. Well, when they went to unroll his carpet, instead of it being 12 x 25.9 ft, it was 12 x 13, and the carpet is on back order. Meaning, I had to go pick out something else they could get in quickly. In other words, my second trip to the carpet place today. By the time I got back, my good mood was gone.

I decided to look at the new carpet (I hadn't seen it yet), lock up the house, then I went to clean the barn and feed the horses. I will say it again... There is something therapeutic about horses. I gave each of them a few bits of apple treats, then gave Moe a big hug. He let me hang on him and cry while he munched on his hay, which I'm grateful for. The other two merely tolerated me, but Moe practically held me up. I don't think I've ever been more thankful for him.

But what I can't understand is, why do I have to cry every day?
