All was not right in Jenland today, so I was sent out to ride versus being mad at the world.
I chose to ride Trinity, and, again, she was wonderful considering she's basically had the whole summer off. I, on the other hand, was all jiggly and hands flapping... Man, has it been a long time. Oh well.
At the end of the ride I decided to ride along the side of Boston Blvd. next to the electric fence, and then around the back of the houses. With the exception of one spook at a scary invisible monster behind Wendy & Jayson's, she did great. She was doing so well, in fact, that I decided to see how she'd do on Tree Fort Trail. I am pleased to note that I'm still alive, so that's a definite gold star for the Trinny. I had to do a lot of ducking since I was like eight feet tall and the tree boughs are, like, seven feet tall--but it was good practice for the time when I am brave enough to trailer to a real trail.
It did boost my spirits, which I desperately needed. The only problem was that I was riding in breeches and paddock boots with half chaps (together they are the same thing as a tall boot, as if you care).... The boots and chaps were making my foot fall asleep, they were cutting off the circulation in my one foot when I put my heel down. That sucks!
On a different note altogether, they painted our exterior doors today. They're kind of a reddish-orange. I don't know if I like it, but I guess I'm stuck with it now!
....and then there were 5.

Ahh...the tree fort trail is looking more like the 1/2 Tree fort trail. Guess I better finish.
Well, now that you mention it, even the horse noticed the wood and stuff laying around. =)
But IIIII wasn't gonna be the one to point it out. If I listed all of our half-projects here I'd be typing for a while.
